Unable to change imported image filename paths

Hello all,

Sorry to pester you as this question has probably been asked 100 times but I for some reason anything I’ve tried just isn’t working.

I’ve got my assignment on USB stick so the filename paths change all the time, therefore don’t load up on a new computer.

The files are all in the same folder as the .sifz file.

But when I go to the file in each of the layers and try to change the imported path it just reverts back to the former path.

Any idea why that would be the case?

please use relative path instead of FQN

Hi and welcome The_Deaner_Breakdown, 1.0.2 is pretty old and a lot of things have been reworked/improved since. Dev build are a lot faster and visually better (under Windows), you should try it (download.tuxfamily.org/morevna/packages/synfig/) About your PNG’s, beware the way you import them: they should only use relative path to the project, it is a common issue. Enjoy !

Mistake when opening file

Always define a relative path instead of a fully qualified path for files of resources. Resources should always reside in the same directory than project file, and so, you could make your whole project as “portable”.

Imported images dissapear?

It is what I thought… By default, you load images with full path (X:\folder\file.png) Try to use relative paths instead (file.png, .\file.png, …\file.png, wherever is is located relatively to your project)
