I’ve recently tested out the development version of Synfig and let me say, I like the new features. Can’t wait for these to apppear in the next stable update. As a amateur artist, Synfig (although flawed) is a neat piece of software, not only for me, but also biggeners
“Stable” is just a status and doesn’t mean that a software is free of bugs.
It is more a way to say that the bugs are known and acceptable.
Dev versions are not necessarily worse, the only thing is that they could break between 2 versions.
Despite the fact it is rarely the case, if you find a dev version that works for you, keep it.
At least as a backup before to test a more recent version.
