Time loop exclusions of subcomponents


I have time looped an entire group of layers, with subgroups etc. Now i need to make one of those sub parts appear in the loop, but because it has an “Amount” set to 0 during the time loop period, changing it has no effect. I tried doing it the other way around, using other effects, switch, none of these work.

The only option I can see is to animate it separately to match the overall layer’s movements, and start its separate time loop at the desired point… which will require some pain staking syncing :frowning:
Is there an easier way? Can you exclude certain properties from a time loop?
