it seems to be a common issue with drag’n’drop in Windows with libgdk-3-0.dll.
Not related with Synfig, lots of other projects are affected (just Google for it)

For example from here on GitHub, using tags to obtain older versions

Well let’s hope it does better tha nthe first three I tried before asking. We’re using the libgdk-3-0.dll that is packaged in the synfig install; even if it isn’t the Synfig product, it’s part of the Synfig package. I can’t see my company’s customers taking the “it’s not us it’s the windoze stuff we put in with our stuff” for an answer for one minute. “we got if off you” they’d say “you’re supposed to make sure it works nag nag nag support nag nag quality nag ISO 9001 nag LOL”
If your car won’t start who believes the dealership that says “it’s nothing to do with Skoda, Ford, BMW, whatevva, it’s the starter motor”?
I see SS 1.2.1 has v.3.22.12 at a different byte size to SS 1.3.[789] and 1.3.10?

When I can give it some more time I shall see if I can get Studio to start up with other versions and let you know. Thank you for giving the matter your time SAL:heart_eyes:
