Hmm… cannot install on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Alpha (32 bits)
This is the message I get:
carlos@carlos-VirtualBox:~$ synfigstudio
synfigstudio: error while loading shared libraries: libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
carlos@carlos-VirtualBox:~$
It happens with 0.63.04 too. Weird.

I wonder if Ubuntu 12.04 have no gtk2 anymore… XD Gotta look at it.

Maybe it will be not bad to have an ARM binaries too? (armel as well as armhf), for Linux smartbooks (like mine) and tablets

I can’t run synfigstudio in Fedora 17 Alpha.
After download the rpm package and double click and install, it shows this when running:

Please post output of “rpm -ql libpng && rpm -qv libpng”
P.S. Have you used proper architecture?

I think I did it right (64 bits).
The thing is that when I downloaded the rpm file I didn’t do directly the double click but did a right click and selected “Open with Software Manager” as action to do, then it took a long time to reply to me that there were one error when installing. Did it twice and finally decided to do double click. Then it asked me the root passowrd (which wasn’t asked me to me before) and then supossedly the package was installed.
I’ll try that when I can reach home.
I’m sorry but I’m totally dumb with rpms.

Yeah, Fedora’s GUI for package management is a mess. XD
Tested with Ubuntu 10.4 and work fine !
