Too bad nobody knows what’s wrong then. That makes me a non Synfig-user.
Well, I got it to work after I installed it in an other directory. It’s only a pity the shortcut in my menu-bar is such a lame frame now, where it first was the Synfig logo. How come the logo isn’t used as the icon anymore?
Glad you got it working. I don’t understand why you’re not seeing the icon in your menu bar - Synfig Studio is still using the same logo. 
I can’t see it at the original .exe file either. It’s pretty annoying, as that frame-icon ruins my whole Start-bar (it’s so ugly!).

Finally uploaded synfig 0.61.09 to Debian experimental (because Debian is in freeze).
Those of you using Ubuntu, please file sync and then backport requests.
the icon works fine on mine, and i have Vista…the logo is the same too, by the way!!
don’t know why it doesn’t work on urs… 
can somebody help me?i install synfig!and i follow the walkthrough!but when i start synfig studio it appears an error!(compoment not found-libglibmm2.4-1dll-)is it bcuz of im using window vista?
