sparkle or twinkle

hello!
I am new to working with Synfig. I have a jpg picture with stars on it. It’s my logo, and I wish to add a twinkle or sparkle to it. I got the picture imported and able to work with it but now I need some direction on how to go about adding the twinkle animation. I’m not looking for anyone to spell out the details. I just need some help with being pointed in the right direction.
Any help would be appreciated.
