[Solved] hiding layer

Hi,
I’m new that’s why this may sound as an easy question

i’m creating a simple animation with something growing and new things showing up. How to hide new layers showing in later keyframes without changing amount value in all for example 10 previous keyframes?

1)Being in non animation mode set the amount to zero.
2) At the keyframe where you want it to appear, set the amount (see note below) to 1.0 using constant interpolation.
If at step 1 the amount (see note below) is already animated, right click on it and select “Disconnect”
-G

Edit BobSynfig: in later versions, Amount parameter has been renamed to Opacity

Ok thanks it works

for everybody who will find this topic in the future, first group the layers which you want to hide, then you will be able to change the amount (see note below) value when the animation mode is off. I have had some problems.

I have added some infos about several layers in this section …

Alax2> can you edit the title of the initial post adding [Solved] ? … and by the way welcome in here !

Excuse me please for asking what may be a simple question, Where and what are you adjusting to zero?

Edit BobSynfig: Added notes in the posts above to reflect the change of label in newer versions.
