Scanned hand-drawn characters and backdrops for cut-out animations

Hello

I’m looking to create old-school looking cut-out animations. I do not want to draw the characters or the background digitally - I want to scan in hand drawn images. Is this possible on Synfig?

I was scan ma draws (with Gimp or Some similar) then import to PNG transparent BG and you can use it imported in synfig
