No Shapes, Drawings, etc.

Hi,
I just installed Synfig two days ago and I already made some smaller animations.
However, I started synfig today and I wanted to do something else
but when I tried to draw a circle or a rectangle nothing appears. I can see the ducks
but there are neither outlines nor colour inside.
What should I do now ?
I am using version 0.61.09 for Windows XP.

Edit: Ok I deleted the config file and now it works but I still wonder what happened.

Probably you have set the default blend method to other than composite or the default transparency to be 0.0.
Next time do not delete the config file but rename it to know what happened.
