Hello! I’m Bob Brown. I’m a college teacher in the southern United States. I will retire from teaching soon, and plan to work as a volunteer helping children get interested in computers and the applications of computing. I hope to use Synfig to generate short (2-3 minutes) animations that will entertain children as young as six and, for each, demonstrate a principle of computing.
As the general introduction says, there is a learning curve! I have a (very simple) animated robot that can move back and forth, raise and lower its arm, and open and close a claw. Next is to have the robot pick up an object, and have the object track (follow) the robot’s claw. I’ll be searching the forums for help on doing that, and I look forward to working with everyone.
