Some Mac users complain about the Synfig Studio integration to the system.

I don’t own a Mac either, but I found this script which permits to install a Mac system in a VirtualBox a few days ago 
Sadely, VirtualBox doesn’t provide “Guest Additions” support for Catalina yet (which I installed to try), but should work fine for the other versions.
It is also mentioned that after install in VirtualBox, the image can be imported in QEMU/KVM for near native performances ( didn’t try it yet 
)
I think it could be useful for testing purpose
