Issue with new layers

Hello there,

I’m having an issue when adding new layers: even they appear on the top of the list in the Layers panel, they are display under other layers in the canvas. I can change the Z Depth value to fix it, but I would prefer to have it work properly. I don’t understand the behavior as it works well in my other computer. Any ideas how can I change it?

please check if the layer blend setting is “By Layer Default” on the toolbox.

Thanks, before I read your reply I ended up deleting .synfig folder in my home directory :frowning: . It’s working fine anyway.
