How do I get the “particle-template-v2.sifz” to work

I am trying to create snowfall with my hand-painted PNG snowflake.I am trying to use the particle-template-v2.sifz I tried to get it onto the stage of synfig I got nothing. I’m using the latest synfig. What should I do?
