everytime i try to open synfig studio, it says it cant find libglibmm2-4.1.dll help!
now there is just squares where text should be. the video won’t help w/this so don’t answer with that, please.

What OS? Which version of Synfig are you trying to install?
Can you tell us what steps you took?
Can you get a screenshot of the ‘just squares where the text should be’? I don’t understand what you’re describing.

Windows XP SP2, newest version of synfig, the squares look like this:

i installed all four, copied the files it said it couldn’t find (it said it was unable to start because of that) from C:\GTK\bin to C:\Program Files\Synfig\bin, tried to start synfig studio again, and it finally started-up. but everything but icons and symbols appeared as the squares. my computer uses English, not a different language.

Thanks for the input in IRC. I’ve never seen anything like your issue before.
I am in the process of compiling Synfig with newer version of GTK & GTKmm. I don’t know if it will solve your problem, but it might be worth a try. I hope to have it posted later on this week.
