I need help. I am trying to increase the FPS, but whenever I open a new synfig document, it just goes to the blank page, I want to increase the framing from 25 FPS to 30 FPS.

SYNFIG_ENABLE_NEW_CANVAS_EDIT_PROPERTIES : When a new document is created, the Canvas Properties Dialog will only be shown if this variable is set.
So if you:
export SYNFIG_ENABLE_NEW_CANVAS_EDIT_PROPERTIES=1
then you’ll be prompted to set the frame rate when you create a new document.
Alternatively:
caret > edit > properties > time
will allow you to edit the frame rate at any time.
