for those times when Ive spent ages creating acomplicated bline and forgot to click ‘create region’ when i selected the tool.
I would like to know if i can click on the bline outline and ‘create region from…’ or something.

Yes you can!
Create a new region layer, select both layers, right click on vertices (in Parameters panel) and choose link. Do the same for origin and any other properties you want to share between the two layers.
Done.
