Cairo can't render jpeg

Sorry for the barrage of posts, but I believe these queries are important for Synfig’s development. XD

Anyway, Cairo enabled Synfig seems to render PNG well, but not Jpg / jpeg extensions. Imports well, but just doesn’t “render” it.

Cairo doesn’t import or render from or to jpeg.

So, are there any plans to implement it?

Reason being jpegs are smaller in size than PNG, and hence are excellent for quick storyboarding because quality does not matter. The small-size is often great when you want to constantly send them over to other people to take a look at.

No plan to implement it in short term.
You can compress the png versions too and reduce the number of bits per channel, so they can be very light.
