I have created some basic templates for my own character that I would like to share. You can use as asset or reference and customize to fit your own character. It’s vectorized so you can edit hands to look more masculine or feminine. Hands and feet takes time to draw so it’s good to have them pre-made/ready to be imported. Tip use the png files in Pencil2D when sketching characters and layout scenes: Just import a hand that would fit current pose.
Coloring: I always put colors on separate layer using the draw tool in Synfig.
Vector coloring tip: Inkscape has a nice fill tool where you can fill vector shapes/line art with gaps or shapes that are not closed properly. I use this tool sometimes for faster coloring before importing final art (lineart + color) to Synfig. Also group everything in Inkscape before saving as svg and import to Synfig.
