Is it possible to define automatic bline widths? Whenever I make a bline, the width is set to 0 and I have to manually adjust the width. I have completed the walking cycle tutorial but can’t remember if it used to do this.

It seems that you have set to zero the default brush size in the default new layer parameters of the Toolbox. Check out it when using the Bline tool or create an outline and set the brush size to something greater than zero before create the layer.
