As described in the topic - I can’t get synfig studio to render a video. I have ffmpeg installed:
which ffmpeg
/usr/bin/ffmpeg
ffmpeg version 2.8.8-0ubuntu0.16.04.1 Copyright (c) 2000-2016 the FFmpeg developers
my best guess would be that synfig can’t find the ffmpeg or doesn’t know where to look for it. Any help would be appreciated.
What version of Synfig are you using?
Also, as workaround, you can render into png sequence and then encode video using ffmpeg directly.
I’m very sorry for the late reply, got swamped at work.
The Synfig Studio version I’m running is 1.0.2
Strangely, I installed it on a work computer (same version) and ffmpeg option is present so I’m suspecting something is wrong with the configuration
