Another idea about the two-timing… er… two-timeline issue solution.
I’ve been using the latest Lightworks, and I’ve noticed that they’ve got a feature for Playback Toolbox: If you set the setting on “Per Window” (I think that’s what it’s called) then the Playback widget is attached to each video file / canvas you open. But if the setting is set to “Global”, then playback widget on each canvas disappears, replacing it with a larger Global Playback widget at the bottom for playing ALL the clips simultaneously. And to ensure that we can switch from Local to Global setting quickly, the feature is easy to access.
