I know that there are ways in synfig for a characters head to turn when the character is created in synfig. Is there a way to create a head facing forward and one facing to the side in inkscape, import them as a sif file into synfig and have on image appear as the other disappears to make it look like the characters head in turning.
Tweening in synfig can only occur on the same layer. Since your exported inkscape sifs aka your frontal and side views would be on different layers it would not be possible to tween them. You can however use both drawings as a template to tween the head turn semi-manually like I did in this video: https://youtu.be/f0K1_l92M_c
