Synfig 0.63.05 crashes when rendering in yuv format.

Hello,

I am writing to the forum because Synfig crashes when trying to render in yuv format. Synfig successfully renders small files (6.9K in sifz format and 70M in yuv format), but it simply crashes when rendering bigger files (22 K in sifz). The same version of Synfig crashes in Linux and Windows Vista.

The system I am using is described by the following information:

Synfig Studio version: 0.63.05

The output of the command ‘uname -a’ is

Linux 3.2.0-23-generic-pae #36-Ubuntu SMP Tue Apr 10 22:19:09 UTC 2012 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

The output of the command ‘lsb_release -a’ is

No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
Release: 12.04
Codename: precise

Computer

Dell XPS M1330

I do require good resolution since I will be showing some animations in a scientific presentation on a big screen.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Maybe rendering in a format other than yuv can also produce a good resolution.

Thank you very much in advance.

Kind regards,

Fabián

Please render to png sequence and use the command line interface when rendering to final size and high resolution. Later compose the image sequence in a video editor.
