move, rotate, and scale imported .sif's a little confusing

I used svg2synfig to convert a simple svg path to a .sif path, and it worked, except for 2 problems.1. the drawing was huge, and the only way I found to scale it was to set the zoom parameter.

  1. The .sif is upside down

I’ve opened the .sif, and it appears to be a normal size, and rightside up.

any tips? Am I missing something obvious?

(attached is the .sif I’m trying to import)

Synfig studio 0.61.09
Windows XP
person.sif (19.9 KB)

Actually, yes, but only if you know what to look for.

That’s because the default image span of your new canvas, is way smaller than the image span of your imported sif. You can find this by editing the properties of both canvasses.

That’s because the default coordinate system of your new canvas is different from the coordinate system of your imported sif. You can also find this by editing the properties of both canvasses. Compare the coordinates of the top-left / bottom right corners.

Hope this helps…
