Missing icons in Synfig Studio

I would like to complete all the missing icons of Synfig Studio.
Please fell free to paste your artwork here and critic any of the new icons proposals. Add the image and the source file please. It must be done using Synfig. Use any of the current icons from the source code as template and do not forget to add your copyright and license. IT must be GPL2 compatible.
Maybe at the end we can agree to add some missing icons to Synfig Studio.

I start with an easy one: Check board Layer Icon.

Hi Genete,
I’d like to help drawing those icons, but can you tell which icons are missing?

Well, there are a lot of them :

LAYERS:
All blur layers
All Distortion layers
All Example layers
All Filter layers
All Fractal layers
Solid Color Layer
Check Board Layer << I’ve drawn this one.
All Gradient Layers (all them have the linear one and might have their own ones)
Duplicate Layer
Import Layer
Time Loop Layer
Xor Pattern Layer
Super Sample Layer
All the Stylize layers

CONTEXT MENU:
Add layer to group
Increase/decrease layer Amount
Set Layer Description
Export/Unexport (better unexport icon)

PANELS:
Metadata
Curves (a better one)
TimeTrack (a better one)
Navigator (a better one)

TOOLBOX:
Save All

DATA TYPES:
Boolean
Integer
Real
BLine Point
List
Value Node icon (DYN)
String

CANVAS VIEW:
Next/Previous Keyframe.

Here is my attempt of the Duplicate Layer icon:
duplicate_layer_icon.sif (18.2 KB)
duplicate_layer_icon.png
duplicate.png

Here is my attempt for next and previous keyframe:

(Edit: I’ve fatten outlines so it’s better at really small sizes)
keyframe_previous.sif (119 KB)
keyframe_previous.png
keyframe_next.sif (118 KB)
keyframe_next.png

And here an easy adaptation of Pixelgeek’s linear gradient icon for every other gradient type:
gradient_spiral_icon.sif (7.44 KB)
gradient_radial_icon.sif (7.43 KB)
gradient_noise_icon.sif (7.77 KB)
gradient_curve_icon.sif (11.7 KB)
gradient_conical_icon.sif (7.36 KB)

Hi guys. I’m not a great draftsman, but I would like to do something  .

How can I do this?

Here is my attempt for time loop:
time_loop.sif.png

My critics:
@Animtim: Gradients are looking good. You, as me, took the easier ones. I would modify the curve gradient to look more like a curve than like an spot. Also you should consider to render to actual size (I think it is 12x12 or 16x16) to see how does it look. It is very important.
@Rafael: Nice hourglass. Time Loop is a non visual layer so it needs an abstract meaning just to be read with a quick look. I would add something like an arrow turning the hourglass indicating the loop. Why don’t take the current Time parameter icon and add a curved arrow over the clock arms?.
@Both: You should consider the small sizes of the icons too. A very thin outline vanishes when scaled. B/W colors are preferred. Very small details are difficult to read when scaled.

As soon as I have a little of time I’ll create the code for those icons and would show them in action.
Anyway, good entries!!!

Hola.
Something like this?:
time_loop.png
time_loop.sifz (5.19 KB)

Theese are some ideas for boolean (true-false, on-off, 1-0) but this is more abstract than the time loop. The second one is an electric circuit (it represents on-off), but it does not see very well at 12x12:
boolean_first_try.png
boolean_second_try.png
boolean_third_try.png
boolean_first_try.sifz (1.11 KB)
boolean_second_try.sifz (1.49 KB)
boolean_third_try.sifz (1.8 KB)
Probably it could be kept without icon.

So I’ve modified the curve one as you asked, I also modified the spiral so that it looks better at small size.

For small size preview, I use to watch my folder in “List view” in Nautilus, so that each image is reduced to a very small icon (around 16/20 pix I think).
gradient_spiral_icon.sif (7.44 KB)
gradient_spiral_icon.png
gradient_curve_icon.sif (13.1 KB)
gradient_curve_icon.png

Edit the Document description and add:
Copyright (2010) @yourname here@. Released under @your license here@
License has to be GPL 2 or above compatible. I think that:
Released for Free or Released for Public Domain are the more used.
Also you can use GPL 2.0 or above as Synfig source code. Take a look to the current distributed sif(z) files in the repo.

I’ve modified my previous/next keyframe icons following your advice (look at my above post I’ve edited).

This is my attempt for the export icon:
export.png
export.sifz (3.86 KB)

This one is a suggestion for the solid color layer:
solid_color.png
solid_color.sifz (3.08 KB)

this one could be for the import layer:
import.png
import.sifz (2.5 KB)

For me and for everyone:

tango.freedesktop.org/Tango_Icon … e_Elements

Hi.
If someone likes my icons and he wants to improve them, he can do it, I will not feel badly for it.

Some propositions for the context menu.

The “set layer description” icon uses the pencil from tango. Feel free to update metadata to match its licence… which I could not find.
B.
set_layer_description_icon.sif (176 KB)
set_layer_description_icon_big.png
set_layer_description_icon.png
remove_layer_from_group_icon.sif (115 KB)
remove_layer_from_group_icon_big.png
remove_layer_from_group_icon.png
add_layer_to_group_icon.sif (115 KB)
add_layer_to_group_icon_big.png
add_layer_to_group_icon.png

proposition for un/export for the context menu.
B.
export_icon.sif (210 KB)
export_icon_big.png
export_icon.png
unexport_icon.sif (210 KB)
unexport_icon_big.png
unexport_icon.png

Were can I find the source for the current “save”, “open” as a basis for these?
