Long Render Time (+ large file size) for Simple Animate Gif

Guys - I’ve just tried rendering a relatively simple animation, (moving circle , 5 key frames, simple imagery), and it has so far taken 5 minutes on a dual core machine, and the filesize is 1.3MB (which seems quite large). Is this normal ? I’ve attached the rendered GIF just so you can see what I mean.

Thanks - Mark

Dos you use Magick++ target and gif extension? Or did you use built in gif target and gif extension?

I used the built in. I’ll try Magick ++

Hello,

Your animation has a lot of white space on the right.

My little experience is converting to a set of png images and then use gimp and its gif extension. That extension has an option for improve the size of the animation.
