Hello everyone!

This week Ivan implemented the following for bones branch:

- You can change origin of transformation for group with the mouse. Just hold spacebar and drag the handles.
- It is possible to attach groups to the bones (using the convert type).

Here’s the video summarizing the current progress: [http://youtu.be/T9cY8J7gWCg](http://youtu.be/T9cY8J7gWCg)

Also, if you interested, here’s our “approximate roadmap” mentioned in the video:

> [@](#):
>
> === Bones Roadmap ===
>
> [DONE] Advanced transformation parameter for Groups
> [DONE] Transformation widget for Groups
> [DONE] Use mouse to shift origin of transformation (hold “spacebar”)
> [DONE] Linking Group to bone (using the convert type)
> (TODO) Allow linking group to bone using right-click (in the same way as “Link to Spline” done)
> (TODO) Allow to transform group, which is linked to a bone (relative transformation)
> (TODO) Fix group transformation in software renderer
> (TODO) Rearrange handles in transformation widget, polishing.
> …
> (TODO) Allow to link vertices to a bone with a right-click (as “Link to Spline” done)
> (TODO) Allow to link vertices to a whole skeleton with consideration of bone influence
> …
> (TODO) Implement skeleton construction tool

As you can see, there’s still a lot of things to do. But the initial groundwork is done, so it’s easier to see the progress now.
We have last week of November to work on bones, let’s see how far we can get from here!

By the way, it is still not clear whether Ivan will continue working on Synfig in December - our [fundraising campaign](http://igg.me/at/synfig-december-2013/x/2188395) haven’t reached a 50% yet and we have only 7 days to go.

Another thing to mention is that we started to work on establishing the workflow of translating the Training Package into other languages. You can already join our efforts at Transifex here - [transifex.com/projects/p/sy … package-1/](https://www.transifex.com/projects/p/synfig-training-package-1/)
