Installing Synfig on openSUSE missing file

After having to remove Synfig due to conflicts with Tumbleweed software manager, I am now attempting a different tactic.

  1. Added PackMan repository (packman.links2linux.org/package/ … dio/638985)
  2. Downloaded
    • libsynfigapp0-1.0-2.4.x86_64.rpm
    • synfigstudio-1.0-2.4.x86_64.rpm
    • libsynfigapp-devel-1.0-2.4.x86_64.rpm
  3. Attempted install using the commands
    • sudo zypper install synfigstudio-1.0-2.4.x86_64.rpm
    • sudo zypper install libsynfigapp0-1.0-2.4.x86_64.rpm
  4. Both result in the message:
    • Problem: nothing provides libsynfig.so.0()(64bit) needed by libsynfigapp0-1.0-2.4.x86_64
      ** Solution 1: do not install libsynfigapp0-1.0-2.4.x86_64
** Solution 2: break libsynfigapp0-1.0-2.4.x86_64 by ignoring some of its dependencies
  5. If I use Solution 2 I will be back to where I started.

Do you have a solution for me?

Kevin

I ended installing Manjaro and Synfig works fine.
