Hey! I was importing a scene one time and I saw “Video (*.avi, *.mp4)” in the supported files menu. Is it actually possible to import videos into a project?

Reading what you said I’ve tried to load an .avi video (720x576 selecting the “any files” option into the Import section) and I can play it but very laggy and a nightmare to use it. I’ll try to recode the video to have a tiny version to see if I could use synfig to create a svg subtitle (like if I was working with an .ass at aegisub).
I tried to load also MKV and MP4, but it says that is not supported.

Importing videos doesn’t work for me. It just shows up in the layers panel and nothing comes up in the canvas.
