I am trying to create a cut out animation with synfig but when I try to import image, they are all resized, why?
This behavior (scale to fit canvas) has been recently modified to be an option to the user. If you’re with synfig 0.61.09 you have to resize them manually (or editing the TL, BR, parameters) to fit the correct size.
This option is only in SVN for the moment, so if you want to have it you have to wait until next release or build your synfig from sources.
Notice the “Scale New Imported Images to Fit Canvas” option.
