# How to Rotate Text

Hi,

How can I rotate a text I created, I can only see **move & transform** tool there.  
Green dot- Move  
Orange dot- Transform  
Even Rotate tool is not working or I’m not getting it.  
Can anyone help me please!

The current simplest way is to add it to a Group layer and rotate this new group that contains it.

Please note that:

- Rotate, Smooth move, Mirror and Scale tools apply to those dots/handles. It is basically intended to deal with selected vertices of a shape.
- The orange dot (instead of dot, we call it `handle`) actually affects the `size` parameter of the Text layer. You can see it by clicking on the orange handle and checking the selected parameter in the Parameters panel. 😉
