how to move to next frame?

hi, i download synfig recently and have NOT been able to figure out how to move to the next frame! i want to animate but i dont know how to go frame by frame

There’s possibly a couple of things going on.

  1. You need to go to animate mode (toggle the green/red circle button in the bottom right of the canvas, just next to the padlock)
  2. You can type the frame number you want to go to in the dialog box on the left that says 0f, or click on the timeline.
