Hi folks :))
How can I prevent one or more subgroups layers from animate?
For example: I’m animating a knight falling and praying for the sky, but the sword in his hand need to keep stopped while I’m rotating his body.
The group setup is like this:
__All
____Body
_______Shoulder+arm+sword
___________sword
___________shoulder
___________arm
I’m rotating the body group and others subgroups, but I need to keep the sword static, with no modifications.
Hi and welcome here
You could extract the sword and use converters to link it to the rest.
For example you can check here:
I don’t think you can proceed like this.
Group A (and its children) will always be above Group B (an its children).
Instead of this you could try to create supplementary groups, place them interleave and link origin points together.
From top to bottom:
Group ATop (with the 2 top A layers)
Group BTop (with 2 top B layers)
Group ABottom (with bottom layer of group A)
Group BBottom (with the lower B layer)
Link origins of ATop and ABottom
Link origins of BTop and BBottom
Now animate only AT…
