Group Z inheritance?

Is there a way to turn off inheritance of Z level at a group level? i want to be able to apply rotation to groups but I dont want that ability to effect the stack of components!

For example I have two groups and this allows me to add rotation to the upperbody from the hips, I need the torso within to be above hips in However I need FrontLeg in To be above torso!

Create a clone of the FrontLeg (Duplicate layer and export and connect all the parameters) and place it above torso. Hide it by changing the Amount parameter from 1.0 to 0.0 in animation mode (don’t link it to the original layer)
