# Doubt about the term "Insert Item (Smart)" term in the docs

Okay,

I’ve seen the term “Insert Item (Smart)” in various places, the one I can remember is the how-to I was going over at: [wiki.synfig.org/Doc:Flower\_Animation](http://wiki.synfig.org/Doc:Flower_Animation). However, I can’t find the option on my menu (not on the normal(?) mode nor the animate edition mode), I could only see “Insert Item” and “Insert Item & Keep Shape”.

I’ve also read this 2013 thread which discuses the term: [viewtopic.php?f=14&t=4597](http://synfig.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=4597), possibly quit using it in the UI and instead use the other terms I mentioned above.

I went over the git commit log and releases/changelog, but couldn’t find any mention of this.

My doubt is:  
Is that term still in use?  
If so, what may be the reason I don’t see it?

Renamed for dynamic lists in [github.com/synfig/synfig/commit … 543b7fcb7e](https://github.com/synfig/synfig/commit/9c2c2559ab0d043e0fc84d30570bff543b7fcb7e)

Still present under old name for static lists though: [github.com/synfig/synfig/blob/m … tsmart.cpp](https://github.com/synfig/synfig/blob/master/synfig-studio/src/synfigapp/actions/valuenodestaticlistinsertsmart.cpp)

I don’t think this is something to worry about, though.
