Can You Save....

Hi, I’m trying to make an animation series with Synfig and I was wondering. Could you amke an animated person and save he/she and use he/she on the next scene where you make the background change :question: Plz help me because I need to know this in order to make my series an success :smiley:

You can:

  1. Create a character in one file and save it.
  2. Make a copy of the character created and animate it. Save to another file.
  3. Use the copies in any place as many times you make another file copy of the original, animated or not.

If you always keep a copy of the original, you always can reuse its copies in other place without destroy the original.

Alternatively you can open the original at the same time than the document where it should be used and copy the layers between documents. That would efrfectively create a copy inside the new composition and the composition won’t depend on an external file.
