Just to mention. I have been studying Brian Lemay (aside from Richard Williams) very steadily and finding his Basic Principles of Animation has been the greatest teaching style for me; slow and steady and progressive to a real understanding of how to draw freehand two-dimensional animation. He was in charge of the Inspector Gadget layout designs and some other 80’s cartoon (ie. Punky Brewster) shows.
