Is it possible to use this program to create flash animations like this intro from an old website using video footage?

Hi and welcome here :slight_smile:
To make it simple

  • You can’t produce flash animations, only gif/png/mp4/avi…
  • You can’t have interactions with the produced animation
  • You can’t integrate 3D (unless you produce it in another -3D- software, export the animation frame-by-frame, import them as a sequence in Synfig to rework them as still images…)
  • Synfig is not a non-linear video processor
  • You can do some slideshows/transitions effects with masking, but it is not as easy as you can expect it

But you can still do many things as you can see on the presentation video on the main site :wink:
