No secret, it’s just vector graphics 😅.
I just create these vector graphics in Inkscape, and then animate in Synfig. It’s much easier to create vector graphics than traditional drawing.

If you observer the ground plane, it looks like the sea with a sunset. The white area would be the sunlight reflecting on the sea. I viewed it in full screen, it’s rather soothing.
