This is based on a word piece I wrote ages ago, it always felt like it needed to be animated. I noticed that I could animate fonts in Synfig now and so decided to use this as a project to get to know the interface a bit:

I used Ardour for recording, so it was in there that I mapped out the time cues first- took a bit of time, but I’m pleased with the results, and now that I have all the cue points, I can start to play with adding some more animated bits to augment the text. 
I’ll do more with it as time, energy and focus permits.
