I would like to share with you all a simple way I found to do frame by frame animation in Synfig Studio. Although there are tutorials that talk about Z Depth, I did not find any that used this same method. It consists of using the Z Range, Z Range Position and Z Range Blur parameters of groups.

I hope you like it, see you soon.

Very interesting technique, thank you for sharing. I like that onion skin comes naturally with it which means you can theoretically do some weird motion blur shenanigans with it in a more nuanced and controlled way than just using “Motion Blur” layer.

Hola @Svarov. You’re right, with the Z Range Depth parameter it can be nuanced much more to make it look like a motion blur trail.
