Seems like the guys at morevna project are improving so I was wondering if they are planing to add dockable windows like gimp 2.8. Probably the most needed feature in synfig.

No, there’s no plans to put our efforts into that. Sorry, here in Morevna Project we concentrated on adding new functionality, huge cosmetic improvements are out of our scope.
Though, there’s a work in progress on Single Window UI made by Jcome: UI Redesign - single window mode brainstorming
